Passover Treats

Brownie recipe fans track ingredient.

T

ammy Betel of Farmington
Hills reviewed the popular
Passover By Design cook-
book by Susie Fishbein in the April
10 JN, in plenty of time for those
preparing early for the holiday.
She soon learned an editor
skipped over an important ingre-
dient in a recipe for Unbelievable
Brownies because she began getting
calls day and night from readers
making the recipe, only to stumble
on the missing ingredient. They
needed an answer right away.
From this new experience, Betel
has learned three things: proofread
your own recipes, never underesti-
mate the chutzpah of holiday cooks
and get an unlisted number.
Actually, she was happy to help.
And so are we. With a few days left
to Passover, it's still a winning recipe.
Here's the corrected recipe for your
files:

Unbelievable Brownies
nonstick cooking spray
4 large eggs
2 cups sugar
1 cup vegetable oil
Y2 t. fine sea salt
3 /4 cup Dutch process cocoa pow-
der
1 /2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
(optional)
1 cup potato starch

sides with a spatula. Stir in the choco-
late chips, if using.
Pour into a prepared pan. Bake for
