Born in Detroit, she graduated Oakland Community College and Eastern Michigan University, where she earned her master's degree in education. She taught speech and communications at Wayne State University, while she lived in Michigan, and then at Broward Community College in Ft. Lauderdale. Ms. Frumkin lived in Israel for many years and worked at Kibbutz Daliyah, Kibbutz Gezer, Kibbutz Bar Am, Kibbutz Mishmar Ha Emereck and later became the secretary to Teddy Kollek, mayor of Jerusalem. Ms. Frumkin is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Lisa Frumkin; aunts and uncles, Ann Black, Barbara and Fred Garfinkel, Dorothy and Marvin Frumkin; nieces, Rachel Pitt (Adam), Jessica Frumkin and Amanda Millman; many cous- ins, including Aleesa Bailog, David Garfinkel (Tracy), Ronna and Jennifer Economy, David Black and Linda Weiner; dear friends, Rick Moore and Jeannie Kincaid. She was the daughter of the late Marilyn and the late Sidney Frumkin. A memorial service will be held by her fellow teachers and students at Broward Community College in Florida on Sunday, April 13, to honor her life.
