MAKE LIFE BETTER

Annemarie Switchulis

rode her
bike to a nursing home when she was 15 to
participate in a high school co-op program.
That experience inspired a lifelong career
of caring for others.

"It is an absolute privilege to hold the
hand of a dying patient," says Switchulis,
founder and executive director of
Seasons Hospice & Palliative Care, a
JHCN medical partner. "I admire the Jewish
community for creating this wonderful
program to take care of its own.

"Nothing is more precious and special
than being supportive at the end of life,"
Switchulis says. "It makes my own life so
much better."
