FLAT-OUT TRAVELER Ten-year-old Stanley falls victim to a terrible accident one night — his bedroom bulletin board falls on him while he's sleeping, and he wakes up perfectly flat. Stanley, a good-natured kid, finds plusses in the change that has happened. He can slide under locked doors, fly like a kite and always wins at hide-and-seek. But his practical side tells him that he can't get along being flat forever, so he decides to search the world for a solution. He puts him- self in an envelope, travels the world as a human letter and meets up with many surprises. The 12th-annual Festival of the Arts runs Wednesday-Sunday, April 23-27. Special activities include Art After Dark, a Friday wine-tasting preview, and Starry Night Gala, a Saturday dinner party.
