The 19th century-style architecture of Home Sweet Home hints as to

what's in store inside — which is just what Carol Uber intended when

she gutted and redesigned the new home to her antiques business. For

16 years, the antiques dealer and decorator sold finds out of her home in

Trenton before opening a storefront in the same city for five more years.

Desiring a location that offered a bustling downtown, Uber and her hus-

band, Robert May, opened their new shop in Plymouth in November.

The charming boutique effortlessly blends vintage with new merchandise

(left), and in the process, offers plenty of ideas on how to mix rather than

match in your own home for a personalized look. From chandeliers and

and beauty maven Charla Krupp tells how in her new book, How Not To Look Old: Fast

Suggestions include wearing pink lipstick with a hint of shine (never use dark liner), losing the
