Global Portal
Jerusalem
MyKehila.com is a
new Web portal, allowing people to
access information and to connect
with Jewish communities all over
the world, through one Web site.
The Jerusalem-based site allows
synagogues to use a simple format
to create a Web page with times of
services and events, collect dona-
tions and contact congregants via
the Internet and SMS message.
Individual synagogues can
choose how comprehensive their
page is, whether it is stand alone,
or whether it connects through
to their own Web site. Users can
search for synagogues by location,
type of service or community.
MyKehila.com launched in the
U.S. in January.
The site has 330 synagogues
listed and 100,000 users. It is free
to both synagogues and users.
MyKehila.com and was founded
by entrepreneur and mother of five,
Hadar Frisch, a former lawyer and
television presenter. It is part of the
Excellent Media Group.
