Obituaries Obituaries from page B45 JULIUS SCHAUMBERG, 84, died March 22, 2008, at home in Sunny Isles Beach, Fla. A survivor of Auschwitz, Mr. Schaumberg was a part- - ner of Thorn Apple Valley Schaumberg Meats until his retirement in 1990. He was born on May 11, 1923, in Schweinsberg, Germany. He was appren- ticed to a baker until he was taken by the Germans in 1938. Julius, his wife Rosa, and their 2- year-old son immigrated to the United States in 1949. After brief stays in Springfield, Mass.; Oklahoma City Okla.; and Topeka, Kan., they moved to Detroit with their son and a newborn son in 1950. Mr. Schaumberg is survived by his beloved wife, Rosa; sons and daughters-in- law Dr. Joel Schaumberg (Ellie) of Wolverine Lake, Mich., Dr. Fred Schaumberg (Dr. Lynne Langois) of Mequon, Wis.; sister- in-law, Mala Dorfman of Bal Harbour, Fla.; grandchildren Dr. Jennifer Schaumberg of Aventura, Fla., Melissa (Stuart) Lander of Sunny Isles Beach, Jaron Schaumberg and Austin Schaumberg of Mequon; great- grandchildren, Sophia Chizever and Reuben Lander; many cousins, nieces and nephews. Taisch JUDITH LYNN TAISCH, 58, former Detroiter of San Antonio, Texas, died March 18, 2008. She was born on June 23, 1949, to Nathan and Lillian Taisch in Detroit. She was a graduate of Arizona State University. Mrs. Taisch lived in San Antonio for over 20 years, where she was most recently by employed by Beckman Coulter as a medi- cal technologist. She will be missed by her many friends and family across the country. She is survived by her sister, Susan Taisch Sacks of New Jersey; sister-in-law, Betty Taisch; nephew, Jeffrey Taisch, both of San Francisco. Mrs. Taisch was the sister of the late Dennis Taisch.
