Looking for a new Agent Emes
Jewish Crime Fighter Sought
Agent Emes, the young truth-seeking crime fighter whose adventures
have been chronicled on Shalom TV since 2006, is facing his greatest
challenge yet — finding a replacement.
Until April 25, the production company Reel Jewish Entertainment
is accepting and evaluating video submissions for a 9- or 10-year-old
ready to don a trench coat, fedora, mustache and sunglasses to match
wits against the fiendish Dr. Lo-Tov ("No Good") of Aveiros ("Sins")
International.
Three new episodes of the popular Jewish action-detective series will
be shot in Pittsburgh this summer.
Derived from the Hebrew word emes, meaning "truth',' the popular
live-action Adventures of Agent Emes series educates children about
Jewish practices and values. Assisted by his rambunctious yeshivah class-
mates, the secret agent for Tov Me'od ("Very Good") battles for Jewish
issues and Jews in trouble in the city of Shpittsburgh.
Interested parents should visit wwwagent-emes.com for complete
application information.

Jewno Video Pokes Fun
Even though Purim is past, you still need to check out the YouTube video,
Jewno, a Purim spoof on the award-winning movie Juno. In the video,
Esther finds out she has a "knish in the oven" and tells her parents the
father is "little Sony Berkowitz." Jewno then searches for suitable adoptive
parents — ones who won't make the child go to law school.
Actor J.K. Simmons, who plays the father in Juno, reprises his screen
role here. The actor is a Detroit native who definitely hasn't forgotten
his Tigers. In one scene of jewno, he's wearing a Tiger road cap with an
orange Old English "D." He also played the Tigers' manager in native
Detroiter Sam Raimi's 1999 movie For Love of the Game, which starred
