Moiseev of Huntington Woods, a sophomore at the University of Rochester in New York majoring in mechanical engineering, was named to the dean's list for academic achieve- ment in the College of Arts, Sciences and Engineering for the fall 2007 semester. Ryan Shields of Bloomfield Hills was awarded a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship for next year for graduat- ing college seniors to study abroad. Shields' topic for independent study is "Investigating Healthcare in Post-Genocidal Societies;' which he will study in Bosnia, Rwanda and Cambodia. He is now a senior at Amherst College in Amherst, Mass. Carol Rosenberg, executive director, Jewish Home & Aging Services in West Bloomfield, was selected to receive the 2008 Chair Citation Award Rosenberg from the Michigan Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (MAHSA). Rosenberg is recognized for her outstanding contributions to MAHSA and leadership in the aging services field. Sidney Mintz of West Bloomfield has been awarded the designation of Super Starter by New England Financial in Southfield, a MetLife company. Eugene Sherizin of Huntington Woods and his company, the Lighting Supply Company, were recognized for generosity by the Wixom City Council. LSC is the only west Oakland site for the Oakland County Sheriff's Department Re-CYCLE for Kids, a project in which donated bicycles are refurbished by inmates at the Trusty Camp in Auburn Hills and distributed to organizations that assist children in need. Within two weeks of the cam- paign kickoff, 20 bicycles were colleted and delivered by a LSC company truck.
