Mazel Toy!
Orthodontist"
There are numerous factors in choosing an orthodontist. Number one on your
list should be someone who is going to treat your son or daughter as if they
were their own. Someone who is kind, caring and truly loves kids.
You should set up a consultation with the orthodontist, which should be done
at no charge. Then see how your child responds to the orthodontist, as this
is very important, to allow input In the decision from your son or daughter.
Be sure that the orthodontist talks to both you and your son or daughter,
and answers any questions that either of you may have. Have your child
talk at school to see what other children In braces say about where they
recommend going.

Experience is also very important. Be sure that the orthodontist has had
successful experiences with all types of cases. It usually takes years to
develop and fine tune skills for quality and consistent results. Location must be
convenient for you, as you will be scheduling appointments every month or so.
The fees must be within reasonable and customary levels and hopefully the office
has °patient friendly - payment arrangements.
Hopefully the office has orthodontists with the same philosophy, so you get
consistent treatment. An owner orthodontist of the office will be "around" for
follow up care and is not replaced periodically. Check out the office to ensure up
to date technology, on time scheduling, and happy kids that are there. Hopefully
the orthodontist has one office location so if emergencies arise they can be taken
care of promptly and conveniently.
