They also must know that certain destinations may not allow for all of the options that otherwise would be available!' Rabbi Yedwab officiated in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, where Maggie Pearl was mar- ried to Brian Winshall in the presence of nearly 200 guests. "Rabbi Yedwab had officiated at my bar mitzvah and it was important for me to have him with us," Brian says. "It also was special sharing three or four days with the people close to us." The Winshalls, now living in Chicago, chose Cabo San Lucas for its tropical setting. They wanted a ceremony near the beach and found some surprises that gave the party a sense of Mexican culture. "Most guests were with us Thursday to Sunday at the same hotel, and even during the day it felt like one big party," says Maggie, who works in commercial real estate. The Winshalls, who explored other places before making their final decision, tried to maximize everybody's experience by writing a newsletter with a list of activities as well as weather forecasts. The local culture included a mariachi band at the ceremony, fire dancers after- wards and taco treats. The fireworks show after the cocktail hour expressed the way the couple felt. While guests paid for their own plane and hotel fares, the couple provided the land transportation and had gift baskets at the hotel. "It was a lot of work, but well worth it," says the bride, who had help from local party planner Gail Ball. "I had to adjust to the manana (tomorrow) outlook of the vendors and deal with a few communication problems. "I wanted mini-burgers at the reception, but I could never get the caterer to understand what I meant. The cake also came out differently from what I had expect- ed, although it looked and tasted wonderful." Brian says the wedding might have been larger if it had been in town, but taking it to the beach, surrounded by people who were really close, made the event a special boutique wines from Israe In addition to having the best selection, the best service and the best prices, our wine department at Plum Market also features a wide array of kosher Israeli boutique wines including: Barkan Dalton Recanati Bazelet Ha Golan Gamla Sega l's Binyamina "Cave" Hamasrek Yarden Castel Herzog Yatir I'chaim!
