uring her junior year in college,
Shayna Levine lived in Israel,
where she met her future hus-
band, Josh. When she graduated from the
University of Michigan in 2001, she moved
to Atlanta to live near him. They got mar-
ried in 2003.
After Josh earned a MBA at Emory
University in 2005, the couple decided to
move to Detroit, Shayna's hometown.
"Knowing we were going to start a fami-
ly soon, it was important to me to be close
to my family," said Shayna, now 29.
Securing gainful employment was a key
