Celebrating with Noah were his brothers Ben, Jacob and Caleb. His proud grandparents are Phyllis and Harold Duchan of West Bloomfield. Noah is also the grandson of Shirley Bennett of Montague, Mich., and the late Benjamin Bennett. For her mitzvah project, Allyson, who swims competitively, swam laps to raise funds for swimsuits and goggles and other equipment for kindergartners and first- graders at an inner city Chicago school as they learn to swim. Red Wings Aid Mentors The annual Mentor Connection Friendraiser will be a hockey game with the Red Wings Alumni. It is set for Sunday, April 6, 4:30 p.m. at Orchard Lake St. Mary's Athletic Complex in Orchard Lake. The Red Wings Alumni will face off against the Oakland County Public Safety All Stars. For the game only, adult tickets are $12; children 12 and under, $10. For the game and dinner-autographs, adults are $25; children 12 and under $20. The goal of the event is to raise awareness of Mentor Connection and recruit mentors for youth living in Oakland County. Mentor Connection is a non-sectarian program of Jewish Family Service (JFS) that serves youth in Oakland County by pairing them with caring adult men- tors. The mentors act as friends and role models who provide additional adult attention and guidance to sup- port the youth as they develop into healthy, productive adults.
