Proof that Mark Novak's a nice Jewish boy? He credits his mother for coming up with the name for his brand-new

business. HowJewMeet is the first Jewish speed-dating service in Michigan, allowing multiple like-minded singles

(divided into age groups from 21-60) to meet face-to-face at events at restaurants and bars around Metro Detroit.

(Participants fill out a comment card so that no personal information is exchanged unless both parties are

interested.) "It's hard to meet single people and even harder to meet single people of the same religion,"

says Novak of Walled Lake, who used to run a successful non-Jewish, Michigan-based speed-dating

service (and works by day as a medical sales consultant). With speed dating, adds Novak, "you can

go on 15 dates in one night and can make a connection within minutes. Plus, it's fun." Look for

HowJewMeet's first events this spring. P.S.: Novak is single. Howjewmeet.com
