ECO /, te"..1 ,t_ Judaism Conservation Tips What you can do to stop global warming. 1.Install outdoor automatic timers. Installing a timer can cut your outdoor lighting energy use by up to half. It will turn your lights on in the evening and off during the day. Or consider utilizing motion detectors that switch on automatically when people or wildlife move close to them and switch off again after a few minutes. 2. Keep bulbs and light fixtures clean. Dirty fixtures can reduce light inten- sity by as much as 25 percent. 3. Turn off the lights when you leave a room. 4. Light-colored walls will reduce the amount of artificial lighting that you will need. 5. Use skylights and natural lighting whenever possible to allow the sun to provide your light.
