Heritage Night Set
Michigan State University Professor
Kenneth Waltzer will discuss "Blacks,
Jews and You!" at the B'nai B'rith Youth
Organization's Jewish Heritage Night
Sunday, Feb. 24.
It will be held 6:30-8 p.m. at Adat
Shalom Synagogue, 29901 Middlebelt,
Farmington Hills. The free event is
open to all Jewish high school students.
Prof. Waltzer is director of Jewish
studies at MSU and a history professor
in the James Madison College.

Hikers, Boot Up!
Jewish Hikers of Michigan will meet 2
p.m. Sunday, March 9, at Kensington
Metropark, Milford.
Participants should bring back packs,
hot chocolate, munchies and water.
The activity will last approximately
two hours. The hike is not physically
demanding and is very scenic.
There is a $4 per vehicle admission
fee to Kensington. If necessary, the
group can assist in arranging environ-
mentally friendly car pooling.

Israeli Dance Party
The Jewish Community Center of
Washtenaw County will host an Israeli
dance party 7:30-10 p.m. Sunday,
March 16.
Tom Starks will lead the dancing,
joined by guest teachers Cheryl Feit
and Gordon Smith from the JCC in
West Bloomfield. They will provide
instruction for beginners from 7:30-8
p.m. Open dancing starts at 8.
Refreshments will be served.
Sneakers or other flat, comfortable
