Diversifying

The Hermelin ORT Center is taking on a number of contracted projects so
that it does not depend on donations alone. Among its side businesses are:
• Film conversion and creating videos for ORT and private individuals.
• Training for teachers in computers, Jewish Web sites, Power Point
presentations and video production, sponsored by Federation's Agency for
Jewish Education.
• Directing students at Temple Beth El in Bloomfield Township in 2007 in
creating a documentary, Koshersize Me.
• Assisting teacher Stu Rabin of Temple Kol Ami in West Bloomfield in
creating a student DVD presentation crafted from student family photos.
• Directing the Temple Kol Ami student video yearbook.
• Creating databases each year to tabulate the Penny Harvest contribu-
tions at the community-wide Tzedakah Experience at Temple Beth El.
