Fogel to Ben G. Schachter, son of Joyce and
Marvin Schachter of Boca Raton, Fla.
Ben G. earned his bachelor's degree in
political science from the University of
Florida in Gainesville and owns and oper-
ates his own mortgage and real estate com-
panies affiliated with the Century Village
and Wynmoor communities.
Jodi attended Eastern Michigan
University. She is the owner-president of
Palm Beach Processing and is furthering her
education at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.
A May wedding is planned in West Bloomfield.

Helfand — Shtull-Leber

teven Leber and Dina Shtull of Ann
Arbor are delighted to announce the
engagement of their daughter Ilanit
Shtull-Leber to Alex Helfand, son of William
and Harriet Helfand of Baltimore, Md.
Ilanit graduated from Barnard College
and the Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS)
in New York. She is pursuing a Ph.D. in
mathematics at Northeastern University in
Boston.
Alex graduated from Columbia University
in New York and JTS and is in the pre-medi-
cal studies program at Harvard University in
Cambridge, Mass.
Ilanit is the granddaughter of Pauline and Sam Leber and Rita and the late
Rabbi Jacob Shtull.
Alex is the grandson of Rosamond and Dr. Israel Helfand, and Hyman and the
late Dorothy Cohen.
A July 2008 wedding is planned.

arbara and Norman Bornstein of
Commerce Township celebrated
their 50th wedding anniver-
sary at a dinner in December with family
and friends. Celebrating with them were
their children, Susan and Ronald Hodess;
brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Esther
Bornstein. Their grandsons are Jay and
Andy Hodess.
