His parents, Dalia and Elliott Keen, and siblings Maya and Dan are very proud of him. Dylan is a student at Warner Middle School in Farmington Hills. He is a madrich (assistant) at Temple Kol Ami. Sean Benjamin King, together with his parents, Loren King and Eric King, will celebrate his bar mitzvah Saturday, Feb. 2, at Temple Israel in West King Bloomfield. He is the brother of Blake and Jaden and the grandson of Marcia and Isadore King and Peg Stacey. He is also the grandson of the late Jean and the late Ben Sussman, the late Lela and the late Glenn Greene. Sean attends Warner Middle School in Farmington Hills. One of his mitz- vah projects involved volunteering at Detroit-based Gleaners Food Bank and he felt that was quite meaningful. Shelby Lynn Lonnerstater will be called to the Torah as a bat mitzvah on Saturday, Feb. 2, at Adat Shalom Synagogue in Farmington Hills. The mitzvah project she found most meaningful was her involvement with the children at West Bloomfield-based Friendship Circle. A Shout To Scouts All Jewish boys involved in Scouting programs through Boy Scouts of America are invited to participate in one or both of the 2008 Scout Shabbat programs the weekend of Feb. 8. Adat Shalom Synagogue in Farmington Hills will host a Scout Kabbalat Shabbat service at 5:45 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8. The men's club sponsors Troop 364, whose members come from Jewish day schools of all streams and public and private schools. Scouts also are invited to a Pack 364 overnight at Bais Chabad of North Oak Park, 15401 W. 10 Mile. The pro- gram begins with a 4:30 p.m. arrival on Friday, Feb. 8, and concludes with Havdalah and awards presentation at 7 p.m. Saturday. Programs include oneg Shabbat, Kiddush and dinner, farbrengen, parshah stories, Kollel Torah Mitzion-sponsored father-and- son programs and outdoor activities, Saturday Kiddush and lunch, scouting- centered activities and all meals. There is a charge for the over- night, which includes sleeping at the synagogue. Troop 364 affiliation is not required for any of the events, which are open to all Jewish Scouts.
