Arts & Entertainment THE BEST OF EVERYTHING Time For A Taverna? Classic Greek restaurant expected to open on Northwestern. p OTPOURRI... Looks like in this case, smoke really meant fire as the heavy rumor looks to be true ... A classic Greek restaurant is expected to open this April or before, on Northwestern Highway in Farmington Hills ... Only change in the story would be that it would open at the former Macaroni Grill location, not Chili's, although the owner may purchase this property as well, but for other rea- sons. The new restaurant may be called Mykonos (Mick-an-ohs) Greek Taverna, a great name from some wonderful Greektown glory yesteryears ... It would itself take up 8,000 square feet with about 350 seating, including a banquet section for both regular daily accommodation and private parties ... A large parking area would provide spaces for around 280 cars, and complimentary valet convenience would be available ... Access to Mykonos would be available by either Orchard Lake Road or Northwestern, a big plus. The biggest thing, however, is that this would be a true authentic Greek restaurant with a Greek executive chef and Greek persons running the operation.
