Glazer Institute Scholar
Rabbi David Saperstein will be the
scholar-in-residence at Temple Beth El's
66th annual Rabbi B. Benedict and Ada
S. Glazer Institute on Judaism for the
Catholic, Protestant, Eastern Orthodox,
Muslim and Jewish Clergy.
Saperstein, also an attorney, is the
director of the Religious Action Center
of Reform Judaism where he represents
the national Reform Jewish Movement
to Congress and the administration.
Saperstein will speak to the Glazer
Institute at Beth El at 9:30 a.m. Friday,

Feb. 8, on "Running With God: Religion in
American Elections." At 10:45 a.m., he will
speak on "The State of Interfaith Relations
in the Aftermath of 9-11."
Saperstein will continue his view of
the political scene at 7:30 p.m. Shabbat
services at Beth El when he speaks on
"The Jewish Stake in
the 2008 Elections."
He will conclude his
remarks at Shabbat
services at 10:30 a.m.

Institute are Howard and Jill Gurwin;
Mark and Harriet Cooperman are co-

Preschool Open House
The Ganeinu Preschool in West Bloomfield
is planning a See For Yourself open house
during school hours on Wednesday, Feb. 6.
Prospective parents are invited to the pre-
nursery and nursery classrooms. Teachers
will be available to answer questions on
the early childhood curriculum and pro-
gram which welcomes Jewish children,
regardless of affiliation, between the ages
of 21/2 and 5.
Ganeinu, with its own state-of-the-art
playground, is licensed by the state of
Michigan.

The lecturer will be Chaya Sarah
Silberberg, rebbitzen of the Sara Tugman
Bais Chabad Torah Center in West
Bloomfield, teacher at Yeshivat Akiva in
Southfield and staff member of "Ask the
Rabbi or Rebbitzen" at Chabad.org .
The course will provide Torah perspec-
tives on many of the most important
questions that are asked by those of every
religious faith.
This course is a project of the Rohr
Jewish Learning Institute. There is a
