Tamarack President
Brian Kepes views the
Grinspoon partnership
as an important first
step in the direction of
regional and national

ships. "We're grateful
for this opportunity to continue to enhance
our facilities," he said.
Tamarack was also selected by the institute
as one of seven camps in a pilot program to
engage the community to help secure the
camps' financial futures.
In addition, the Tamarack-Grinspoon part-
nership provides mentor services to guide the
agency in board development, strategic plan-
ning and fundraising. Tamarack's strategic
plan calls for fundraising for programming,
capital improvements and financial assis-
tance to families in need.

Up, Up And Away!

T

o quote one of my
favorite movie heroes,
"What's up, Doc?"
More than just an inquiry as to
how things are going, this could
be a question about the word
itself. What could have more
meanings or uses than the word
"up"?

Yes, we are all aware of the
general direction in the word,
but how then does that apply to
getting up in the morning? (Oh,
you say, you rise toward the sky.
Yeah, yeah. I'll give you that as a
freebee.)
At meetings, topics tend to
come up, which may mean that
we have to speak up about them.
A part of the agenda may be to
note that officers are up for elec-
tion and that it is up to the secre-

Latest From Israel

You know, of course, that when
in doubt about making up con-
versation, it is good to try com-
ments on the weather.
If rain is threatening, we may
observe that it is clouding up.
When the sun reappears, it is
clearing up. When a downpour
occurs anyway, it really messes
up our plans.
Well, it is about time that I
wrap this up. My allotted space
being used up, I'll shut up.
I'll close with another quote
from another movie hero, who,
before being swallowed up by a
closing circle, says, "The...the...
that's all, folks!"
