Families Take To Ice
The Adat Shalom Men's Club will
hold a Family Ice Skating Party 4 p.m.
Sunday, Jan. 27, at the Farmington
Hills Ice Arena. The community is
welcome.
Fees for the event, which includes
a Jerusalem Pizza dinner, are $12 per
person or $40 per family. Skates may
be rented for $2.
The event is chaired by Ken Podell
of West Bloomfield and Gary Berman
of Farmington Hills. Reservations are
required.

weekend of Jan. 18,
to attend Shabbat
services and to meet
with the communi-

ty's leadership and congregation.
Savitsky will host an oneg Shabbat
on Friday night at a private home and
on Saturday morning will present a
Torah discourse during services. He is
also expected to speak before Shabbat
ends at the third meal.

Spa Day
The focus will be on fitness, beauty
and fun when the Temple Beth El
Sisterhood hosts Spa Day 2008,
Wednesday, Jan. 30.
Beginning at 9 a.m., participants
can pamper themselves with a chair
massage or makeup session, energize
with a Pilates workout and breathe
easier and release strain through
Feldenkrais. A healthy lunch will fol-
low.
Three different combo packages are
available: Pilates and Makeup, Pilates
and Chair Massage and Chair Massage
and Makeup.
Learning new ways to move and
breathe through Feldenkrais will be
open to all.
Sherry Saginaw, owner of Get A
Grip Pilates, will teach; Amy Regal,
owner of Glamour Puss Beauty Bar
and Boutique, will do makeup; Andrea
Ubom, owner of the Franklin Spa, will
offer chair massages. Helping partici-
pants with Feldenkrais will be physi-
cal therapists Osa Jackson Schulte and
Katie Scarchilli.
The cost is $20 for members and
$25 for guests.

Scout Shabbat
The 2008 Scout Shabbat service will
be held Friday, Feb. 8, at 5:45 p.m.,
at Adat Shalom Synagogue, 29901
Middlebelt Road in Farmington
Hills.
Scouts attending in full Class A
uniforms will receive a Scout Shabbat
Patch.
A special Scout Kiddush will follow
services at no charge.
