arci Lynn Friedman and
Jonathan Portny are thrilled to
announce their engagement.
Marci is the daughter of Janet Friedman of
Ann Arbor and the late Eliot Ira Friedman.
Jonathan is the son of Stan and Donna
Portny of Randolph, N.J.
Marci received her bachelor of arts in
political science from Tufts University
in Medford, Mass., and her master's in
education from Boston University. She is
employed by the Newton, Mass., public
schools.
Jonathan received his bachelor of sci-
ence in bio-electrical engineering from Tufts University and is working on his
master's of business administration. He is an engineer at InfoSciTex.
They are planning an August wedding in the Boston area.

Pevos-Scher

r. and Mrs. Bruce Scher of
Buffalo Grove, Ill., announce
the engagement of their
daughter Heidi Renee to Edward Joseph,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Pevos of
Commerce Township.
Heidi is a graduate of Illinois State
University in Normal, Ill., and is employed
as a seventh- and eighth-grade English
teacher in Oak Park, Mich.
Edward is a graduate of Oakland
University and is employed by Fox 2 Detroit
as a news producer.
Both families look forward to a June 2008
wedding in Chicago.

Trunsky 60th

oslyn and Leonard Trunsky of
West Bloomfield celebrated their
sk„ 60th wedding anniversary on
Dec. 27. They married after his return from
World War II. Their children are Isabel and
Milton Dzodin, Ruth and Bruce Aaronson,
Donna and Dr. Richard Brown, and Roger
and Barbara Trunsky. They have 11 grand-
children and two great-grandchildren.
