Saturday, Jan. 12. She
is the grandchild of Gerda and Russell
Rhodes and Hannah Schanes. She is
also the grandchild of the late Law-
rence Schanes.
Jamie is a student at Dunckel
Middle School in Farmington Hills.
Her most meaningful mitzvah proj-
ect was donating her hair to Locks
of Love, which make wigs for cancer
patients.
Ekaterina (Katya) Stacey and
Anastasia (Nastia) Stacey
will be b'not mitzvah on Saturday, Jan,
12, at Temple Beth Emeth in Ann
Arbor. The girls are the daughters of
Francyne Stacey and Laura George,
both of Ann Arbor. The girls are the
grandchildern of Gloria and Sanford
Stacey of West Bloomfield.
Katya and Nastia are from the Soviet
Union. They attend Forsyth Middle
School in Ann Arbor. The mitzvah
project for Nastia is to send clothes to
the orphanage she came from. Katya's
project is to protect wildlife and to
work for the humane society when she
gets old enough.

became bat mitzvah
at Temple Beth EI in
Bloomfield Township
on Saturday, Jan. 5.
She is the daughter
Stoddard
of Dr. David and
Sheryl Stoddard and
sister of Steven and Heather. Proud
grandparents are Sol and Barbara
Margolis of West Bloomfield and Lin
and Marylou Stoddard of Ann Arbor.
Mallory is an eighth-grade student
at Norup International School in Oak
Park. Her mitzvah projects included
participating in the Jewish Family
Service Fall Fix-Up.
William Andrew
Wiener will lead
the congregation
at Temple Israel
in West Bloomfield
Friday, Jan. 11, as he
reads from Torah
on the occasion of
Wiener
his bar mitzvah. He
is the son of Jenny
and Dr. Steve Wiener and the brother
of Molly. Sharing in the simchah will
be his proud grandparents Diana and
Dr. Joseph Honet. He is also the grand-
child of the late Pola and the late Wolf
Wiener.
William is a student at Cranbrook
Educational Community in Bloomfield
Hills. He felt it was especially mean-
ingful to donate funds to the Juvenile
Diabetes Foundation as one of his
mitzvah projects.
