have superior written and verbal communication
skills, maintain strict confidentiality, be detail oriented
and complete projects in a timely manner. Duties
include: administrative writing and correspondence,
maintaining an appointment schedule by planning
and confirming meetings, and working with others
as part of a collaborative team. Excellent knowledge
of the Microsoft Office Suite is a must. This is a full

Temple Administrator for its vibrant 3,400+ family-unit
member congregation. Temple Israel provides a spiritual,
educational, and cultural home for Jews of all ages in
the Detroit Metropolitan area. As we enter our 67th year,
this historic congregation continues to provide a life-long
innovative, supportive, and caring Jewish environment.
The Associate Executive Director/Administrator is
responsible for day-to-day synagogue operations, HR,
membership, and facilities management. In addition, the
Associate Executive Director supervises other staff as well
as secretarial, support and custodial employees.
This dynamic manager provides leadership and works in
partnership with the Executive Director, Rabbis and Cantors,
staff, lay leaders, Board of Directors and congregants to
develop and carry out Temple policies and programs.
