West Bloomfield are delighted

of their daughter Elana Valerie Averbuch
to Samuel Franklin Levy, son of Cheri and
Michael Levy of Bellevue, Wash.
Elana received her bachelor's degree from
Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti.
She is a supervisor of direct care at First
Choice In-Home Care in Bellevue, Wash.
Samuel received his bachelor's degree
from Western Washington University in
Bellingham, Wash. He is the technology
coordinator at the Seattle Hebrew Academy.
An October wedding is planned in Michigan.

an and Norma C. Jacobs of
Farmington Hills celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary on Dec. 21. The
couple renewed their vows at Martha Mary
Chapel at Greenfield Village, followed by a
celebratory dinner at the Ritz-Carlton, both
in Dearborn. Jan and Norma were honored
by their children: daughter, Tamara Jacobs;
son and daughter-in-law, Marc and Debbie
Jacobs, along with their grandchildren,
Parker and Landon Jacobs, Jackson and
Clayton Jacobs.

ora Glass of Southfield recently
marked her 100th birthday. A
party was given by her daugh-
ter Sheila at the Peking House restaurant
in Royal Oak. Guests included niece and
nephew, Joanne and Mark Schwartz of Las
Vegas; niece, Esther Wicks and her daugh-
ter Shari of Los Angeles; niece, Dr. Ami
Zusman of San Francisco; nephew, Ben
Glazer of Phoenix, Ariz.; and family friend
Burt Lipsky of New York. Beloved family
members were remembered with a moment
of silence: Samual Glass, her husband of 53
years; son, Sheldon Glass; and cousin, Rabbi
Sherwin Wine.
