Dr. and Mrs. G are not alone.

Last year, 595 families received

assistance from Jewish Family

Service, a 430% increase over

five years ago. And the number

of requests is growing.

They say when you have your health you have everything.
When Dr. G, an established physician, fell ill with cancer
and was forced to leave his practice, Mrs. G, a trained nurse,
returned to work at night, so she could be available for her
children. As a couple, the G's never imagined they'd turn to
the Jewish community for their needs, but in a single year,
they called upon the resources of three agencies for coun-
seling , financial assistance and help with tuition for their
daughter in Jewish day school.

In ways you may never know or predict, your gift to the
Jewish Federation adds strength to our community, because
it goes to support 19 local agencies, including Jewish Family
Service, Jewish Home and Aging Services, and Hebrew Free
Loan Association. From a friendly voice on the phone, to
counseling and services to help families at-risk get through
hard times, Federation works to benefit everyone it touches.

When you give, you give more than money. You give hope.
