rlene and Mark Rubinstein of
Birmingham and Caryn and
Henry Hirsch of Bloomfield Hills
are excited to announce the engagement of
their children Lori Ann and Ryan Aron.
Lori graduated with a bachelor's in early
childhood education from Ohio University
in Athens, Ohio, and a master's in read-
ing and learning disabilities from DePaul
University in Chicago. She is employed as a
first-grade teacher in the Wilmette Public
Schools in Wilmette, Ill.
Ryan graduated from Eastern Michigan
University in Ypsilanti with a bachelor's in
business administration and a master's in accounting. He is a CPA employed at
Gimbel, Abrams and Singer in Chicago.
A June wedding is planned at the Somerset Inn in Troy.

ozie Rome and Todd Brockdorf
were recently married at the
Grosse Pointe War Memorial.
Rabbi Marla Hornsten of Temple Israel in
West Bloomfield officiated.
Rozie is the daughter of Robert and Edie
Rome of West Bloomfield. Todd is the son of
Timothy and Lorie Brockdorf of Canadian
Lakes, Mich.
Ericka Doyle, sister of the bride, was
matron of honor. Danny Brockdorf, brother
of the groom, was the best man. The ring
bearer was Jake Margolick and the flower
girl was Lauren Margolick; both are cousins
of the groom.
Rozie and Todd were honored to have Ilona Havas and Helen Kraun, grand-
mothers of the bride and groom respectively, participate in the ceremony. Both
were escorted by Bryan Doyle, brother-in-law of the bride.
Rozie graduated from Michigan State University and is employed at General
Dynamics Land Systems. Todd graduated from the University of Michigan and
is employed as a sales engineer at Sprint.
Following a honeymoon in Tahiti, Australia, and New Zealand, the couple
reside in Farmington Hills.

eymour and Ann Schwartz of Oak
Park celebrated their 50th anni-
versary with family and friends
at Baker's of Milford on Dec. 9. They were
married on Dec. 7, 1957, in Detroit and
have lived in Oak Park since 1961. They
have three sons and three grandchildren.
