highest quality of life to men, women and children with disabilities in Oakland
County, MI. JARC provides residential services to over 150 men and women
with developmental disabilities in 20 homes and numerous independent living
settings, as well as services to 400 families with a child or adult living at home.
The organization has 230 employees and a $10 million budget, of which over
$2.5 million is raised privately.
Development Associate
JARC, a dynamic Jewish agency serving people
w/ developmental disabilities, is seeking a full-
time Development Associate. Working closely
with the Director of Development, this member
of the development team will plan and execute
major fundraising initiatives and events, develop
new and on-going individual, foundation and
corporate donor relationships, assist with major
gifts solicitation, develop new sources of
revenue, collaborate on agency marketing and
communications, research and manage grants.
Candidates should have broad range of knowledge
and skills in fundraising and an understanding of
the Jewish philanthropic community. Knowledge
and experience in grant writing, planned giving
and media relations preferred. A Bachelor's degree

JARC seeks an experienced, dynamic, creative Chief Executive Officer who is
a visionary, strategic leader and a strong advocate for the inclusion of people
with disabilities in community life. The CEO provides the organization
leadership in the following areas: Fundraising and donor relations, program
management, new program development, board relations and financial man-
agement. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of executive
management experience, demonstrated success in major fundraising, experi-
ence with the Jewish philanthropic community, knowledge of the field of
disabilities, and experience in working with a broad and diverse universe of
stakeholders. Ability to embrace the values of inclusion for people with dis-
abilities is essential.
Undergraduate degree required; advanced degree preferred. Qualified can-
