LILY STEINBERG, 92, former resident of
Birmingham and Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.,
died Dec. 5, 2007.
She is survived by her son and daugh-
ter-in-law, Dr. Michael "Mickey" and Amy
Steinberg of Florida, former residents of
Birmingham and Farmington Hills; grand-
children, Suzy and Kirby Clark, Lynne
and Brett Prywitch; great-grandchildren,
Jamie and Mark Pavlofsky, Danny and Scott
Prywitch; stepgrandchildren, Randy and
Tracy Brown, Barry Brown, Steve Brown;
stepgreat-granddaughter, Danielle Brown;
sister and brother-in-law, Sylvia and Tuffy
Jordan; nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Steinberg was the beloved wife of the
late Joseph Steinberg.
Interment in South Haven, Mich.
Arrangements by Ira Kaufman Chapel.

ROSALIE WHITEMAN WARHEIT, 78,
died Dec. 3, 2007. She was born in Fort
William, Canada, and lived in the Windsor
area until college. She met and married
pharmacist Harold Warheit while attend-
ing Wayne State University. She graduated
from Wayne State University with a major
in nutrition and went on to get a master's in

library science. For many years, she worked
at St. Clement High School as a librarian.
Mrs. Warheit enjoyed swimming, bridge
with friends, dancing with her devoted hus-
band, Harold, and traveling.
She is survived by her sons, David
Warheit and his wife, Christine, of
Wilmington, Del., Neil Warheit of Los
Angeles, and Michael Warheit and his
wife, Barbara, of Barrington, Ill.; brother,
Dr. Gabriel Whiteman, and his wife,
Simone, of Montreal, Canada; nephews,
Dr. Avi Whiteman of Montreal and Dr.
Daniel Whiteman and his wire, Karen, of
Boston, Mass.; niece, Michelle Whiteman
of Montreal; grandchildren, Matt Chastain
(Jessica) and Ben Warheit of Wilmington,
Del., Alex, Sam and Julia Warheit of
Barrington, Ill.; great-granddaughter, Emma
Jane Chastain; sister-in-aw, Katherine
"Kitty" Ravitz.
She was the wife of the late Harold; sister
of the late Elliot.
Special thanks to the caregivers of the
Brown Memory Care Unit at the Fleischman
Residence on the Eugene and Marcia
Applebaum Jewish Community Campus in
West Bloomfield.

Services were held at the Dorfman
Chapel. Interment followed at Adat Shalom
Memorial Park Cemetery. Contributions in

Blumberg Plaza at the Eugene and Marcia
Applebaum Jewish Community Campus,
6710 W. Maple, West Bloomfield, MI 48322
or to the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan

RUTH WEISS, 83, of Farmington Hills, died
Dec. 4, 2007.
She is survived by her daughters and
sons-in-law, Lynn and Robert Quigg of West
Bloomfield, Gloria and Tom Meek of Troy;
grandchildren, Marissa Quigg, Stephen
Meek and Bryan Meek; many other loving
family members and friends.
She was the beloved wife of the late Louis
Weiss; sister of the late David Adelson and
Milton Adelson.
Interment at Hebrew Memorial Park
Cemetery. Contributions may be made to
the American Cancer Society. Arrangements
by Dorfman Chapel.

POLA ZAWIERUCHA,
85, of West Bloomfield,
died Dec. 3, 2007. She
was a member of Shaarit
Haplaytah and a mem-
ber of B'nai B'rith Albert
Einstein Chapter.
Mrs. Zawierucha is
survived by her son,
William Zavier of Oak Park; daughter and
son-in-law, Regina and Tillery Dingier of
Alberquerque, N.M.; daughter-in-law, Amy
Brozgold; grandchildren, Michael Zavier,
Jaime Zavier, Ethan Zavier.
