The fund will provide a scholarship to an incoming first-year law student in memory of Jack Miller, a founding part- ner of Honigman in 1948 and a 1935 honors graduate of the U-M Law School. The fund will target financially chal- lenged students from Detroit, where Honigman was founded and headquar- tered and the city where Jack Miller was raised. In addition to the scholarship, the recipient will be offered the oppor- tunity to work as a summer associate at Honigman. During his career with the firm, Miller served as a business lawyer and headed a matrimonial practice where he represented many of Detroit's social elite. He advised business clients in corporate transactions, combinations and acquisitions and represented their interests in negotiations and trial. "We are so proud to be able to cel- ebrate Jack Miller's amazing life and accomplishments with this gift," said Alan S. Schwartz, CEO of Honigman. "This will ensure that Jack's legacy of caring, kindness, and generosity will live on forever!"
