IDA BEYLINSON, 81, of
Farmington Hills, died Nov. 14, 2007.
She is survived by her nephew,
Vladimer Nozhnik of Novi; many
other loving nieces and nephews.
Interment at Hebrew Memorial
Park. Arrangements by Hebrew
Memorial Chapel.

ALEXANDER BLUMENBERG, 81,
former Detroiter of Tucson, Ariz.,
died Nov. 15, 2007.
He was born in 1926 in Munich,
Germany. He became a refugee in
June 1939 in Northern Ireland. He
served in the British Army in World
War II and came to the U.S. in 1949.
Mr. Blumenberg was a member of
the Institute of Electronic Engineers.
He was the president and founder of
A. Blumenberg Associates, a manu-
facturer's representative firm to the
auto industry.
He was very active in community
leadership for the Metropolitan
Detroit Jewish community. He
served as the vice president of
the Jewish Community Council,
chairman of Histadrut, member of
the international board of Ampal-
American Israel Corporation,
president of Congregation B'nai
David and a member of the National
Executive Committee of the Labor
Zionist Alliance.
He was also a member of the
board of the Midrasha College
of Jewish Studies and board of
governors of the Jewish Welfare
Federation. Mr. Blumenberg was
also a photographer.
He and his wife, Liliane, moved
to Tucson in 1992 as winter visitors
and became permanent residents in
2001.
Mr. Blumenberg was a true men-
tsh — a blessing to everyone with
whom he came into contact. His
dignified manner in all things, his
caring, his niceness, his soul always
interacted with others in the best
way possible. He will be missed by
his entire family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 50
years, Liliane; daughters, Sharon
Cohen of Rehovot, Israel (Joel),
Naomi Weiner of Tucson (Tamir),
Michelle Blumenberg of Tucson
(Rick Penner); 10 grandchildren;
two sisters in Israel and one sister in
New York.
Services were held at
Congregation Anshei Israel.
Arrangements by Evergreen
Mortuary. Contributions may be
made to the University of Arizona
Hillel Foundation.
