Lily Alexandra Silver, daughter of Jeff and Darcy Spencer-Silver and sister of Jonathan, of Calabasas, Calif., will read from the Torah as she celebrates her bat mitzvah on Saturday, Silver Nov. 24, at Temple Judea in Tarzana, Calif. Lily is the granddaughter of Roslyn and Milton Spencer of Agoura Hills, Calif., formerly of West Bloomfield, and Shirley Silver of Tarzana. She is also the granddaughter of the late Eugene Silver. Lily attends Sierra Canyon School. Her tikkun olam (saving the world) project is raising funds for Friends of Israel Defense Forces Moreshet program, which provides a summer camp experience at Camp Ramah in Southern California and Camp Ramah in the Berkshires in Massachusetts for bar and bat mitzvah-aged children from Israel who have lost parents or sib- lings in combat.
