Congregation T'chiyah will host a
Chanukah celebration, study ses-
sion and special performance the
weekend of Dec. 7-9 at the David

Mondry Building,

will conduct a
Kaballat Shabbat
service 7:45 p.m.

At 10 a.m. on Dec. 8, Kirshbaum
will lead a discussion on the
"History of God, Part III: God After
Auschwitz." At 7:30 p.m., there will
be a dessert and a program featur-
ing Rosalie Beck, "Growing Up
with Yiddish: Reminiscences of a
Jewish Immigrant Family:' a read-
ing performance interspersed with
Yiddish songs. Beck is originally
from Windsor and had a tradition-
al Yiddish "folkshule" education.

Eco-Friendly Holiday
To celebrate an eco-friendly
Chanukah, the Jewish Federation
of Metropolitan Detroit invites
families to make menorot out of
recycled materials from the Arts &
Scraps Mobile.
Sponsored by Shalom Baby,
Federation's Affiance for Jewish
Education and the Women's
Department, the program will be
held 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Dec.
5, at the Federation Building, 6735
Telegraph, Bloomfield Township.
The cost is $5 per child (per
kit) with prepayment required.
