The heat will be absorbed by the interior. • In the winter, set your thermostat to 68 and lower the temperature when you go to bed or are away from home, or use a programmable thermostat to do it for you. • Seal leaks around your foundation and electrical, plumbing and cable holes. • Maintain your heating and cooling system on a regular basis. • Get a smart meter: Tell your utility company you want to have a meter that can tell you what you're consuming and spending in real time and one that can turn appliances off and on in response to chang- ing prices.
