We wish to express our sincere appreciation for the contributions made to our
17th annual Chinese Auction. This auction would not be possible without the
support of the many sponsors whose names appear on the following pages.

For more than four decades, Akiva has stayed true to its mission, to provide
a Zionist Jewish college preparatory education to the children of the metro
Detroit community-instilling in them a love of learning, commitment to the land
and the people of Israel, and a dedication to serving the greater Jewish and
secular community. Akiva students and graduates have consistently earned
reputations for academic success, communal leadership and professional
accomplishment.

Wherein lies Akiva's success and what defines Akiva's uniqueness? It is Akiva's
educational message, carefully blended and mixed to create the perfect
balance of Judaic and secular. It is the warmth and energy of the school
reflected in the vibrant colors of its walls papered with the thoughts and
work of Akiva's students. It is the teachers and staff of Akiva, who creatively
use their talents and resources to help each child actualize his or her potential.

COLORS, the theme of this year's auction, is what Akiva is all about-a palette
of brilliant colors; ideas, values and life lessons, carefully mixed, blended
and crafted by a community of artists-teachers, parents and friends of
Akiva - working together to create a magnificent portrait: the education
of our children.

We thank you for your support and wish you a wonderful
and lucky evening!

Sincerely,

The 2007 Akiva Auction Committee
