we've already got the other two on the
calendar. He 'gets' the kids, and I enjoy
working with him. He's just really good
at listening and reading his customers
and staying within budget."
She was especially impressed with
his lighting and effects.
"He's out there, and he sees a lot','
Reed said. "He's a great resource with
some really good ideas."
Yet he's also a homegrown business-
man.
"I understand this community
because I grew up here, but being in

gies and, at the same time, creating
lasting memories."
Layne also has coordinated events
here for the Anti-Defamation League
and the Friends of the Israel Defense
Forces. And he's become an integral
part of the IN's monthly Teen2Teen sec-
tion, including sponsorship of the Party
Pages and soon-to-be-launched Web
component, JNt2t.com .
"I enjoy what I do:' Layne said. "I was
asked to speak at Orchard Lake Middle
School about my career. I told them that
being an entrepreneur is about having
an idea and getting it to be tangible.
No matter what, you just keep trying
and remember that imagination has no
boundaries." I I
