First For Cub Scouts
Oak Park's first Cub Scout Pack, for
Oak Park and Huntington Woods
youngsters, is to form under the
supervision of Rabbi Joseph Klein
of Temple Emanu-El.
Temple Emanu-El's Cub Scout
Pack will offer full Cub Scout pro-
gramming to youth in grades 1-5.
With the assistance of the North
Trails District of the Detroit Area
Council of the Boy Scouts, there
is a full range of opportunities for
both Cub Scouts as well as adult
leaders wishing to engage in this
family program.

Film Premiere
Who Knows One, a film by native
Detroiter and third-year Harvard
Law School student Sarah Yael
Goldfein, features a host of schol-
ars, philosophers,
theologians and
Jews of all ages
and persuasions,
talking about how
they see God (or
not).

miere screening
on Sunday, Nov.
18, at the Community House, 380 S.
Bates, in downtown Birmingham,
sponsored by the Jewish Forum.
The program will run 9:30
a.m.-2 p.m. with lunch by Elite
Kosher Catering. A post-screening
discussion will be led by Rabbi Joe
Kanofsky, a consultant with the
Centre for Enhancement of Jewish
Education in Toronto and former
director of the Ronald S. Lauder
Foundation in Warsaw.
Registration is $36 per person or
$60 for two. Space is limited; pre-
paid registration is required.
The Jewish Forum is a new,
independent nonprofit organiza-
tion in Metro Detroit dedicated to
presenting innovative, stimulating
and sophisticated opportunities for
adult Jewish learning, conversation,
and debate.
