RUTH (HURWITZ) NAGELBUSH, 96, of
West Bloomfield, formerly of Lauderdale
Lakes, Fla., and Cleveland, Ohio, died Oct.
22, 2007.
She is survived by her children, Carol
(Jerry) Israel and Jeffrey (Elizabeth)
Nagelbush; beloved grandchildren, Harold
Israel (Holly), Shelly Snyder (Dan), Rabbi
Marc Israel (Abbey Frank), Sarah Nagelbush
and Anna Nagelbush; adoring great-grand-
children, Barry and Marissa Snyder, Mitchell
and Marni Israel, Elianna, Micah and Oren
Israel; brother-in-law, Jderry Nagelbush.
She was the wife of the late Mannie
Nagelbush; sister of the late Jack and the
late Grace Horwitz, the late Marie and the
late Stanley Director; sister-in-law of the
late Augusta Sobol, the late Sylvia Sobol,
the late Pauline Dolin, the late Sidney
Nagelbush and the late Toby Cohen.
Graveside services were held in Ft.
Lauderdale. Contributions may be made to
Temple Israel, Jewish Hospice &. Chaplaincy
Network or a charity of one's choice. This
announcement was placed at the request
of the family by Hebrew Memorial Chapel.

ARNOLD SCHAFER, 59, of Birmingham,
died Oct. 27, 2007.
He was the founding partner of Schafer
and Weiner. He was also a member of
Franklin Hills Country Club, Adat Shalom

Synagogue, Hadassah, JARC and a graduate
of the University of Detroit Law School.
Mr. Schafer is survived by his wife, Linda
Schafer; sons, Bradley Schafer, Todd Schafer,
Jamie Schafer; sister, Linda Deutsch; sis-
ters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Roberta
and Sheldon Toll, Marilyn and E. Steven
Robinson; nieces and nephews.
Mr. Schafer was the devoted son of the
late Sol and the late Sonia Schafer; loving
brother of the late Rochelle Schafer; dear
brother-in-law of the late David and the late
Blanche Pollack.
Interment at Adat Shalom Memorial Park.

LOUIS SELIK, 91, of West Bloomfield, died
Oct. 24, 2007.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 67
years, Clara Selik; son and daughter-in-law,
Dr. Richard and Terri Selik of Atlanta, Ga.;
daughters and sons-in-law, Elin and Barry
Becker of Stratford, Ontario, Dr. Marilyn and
Eric Berkley of Farmington Hills; grand-
children, Melissa and Michael Selik, Katie
Becker, Sarah and Jaime Berkley.
Mr. Selik was the dear brother of the late

Sol Selik and the late David Selik.
Interment at Clover Hill Park Cemetery.

STRAUSS, 79, of
Scottsdale, Ariz., formerly
of Bloomfield Hills, died
Oct. 24, 2007.
She is survived by her

HENRIETTA E. WEINGARDEN, 90, of
Southfield, died Oct. 26,2007.
With her husband, she operated
Weingarden Dry Cleaners and Clothiers, was
a music and gift store manager and in later
life became an award winning artist.
Mrs. Weingarden is survived by her
