MAX DUBRINSKY, 70, of
Birmingham, died Oct. 25, 2007.
He was a CPA and a medical
laboratory consultant. He was also
a member of B'nai B'rith, Michigan
Cancer Foundation, Karmanos Cancer
Institute, Adat Shalom Synagogue,
Temple Israel, National Kidney
Foundation and a past president of
the Michigan Osteopathic College
Foundation.
Mr. Dubrinsky is survived by his
wife, Michele Dubrinsky; sons and
daughters-in-law, Steven Dubrinsky
of Birmingham, Mark and Gloria
Dubrinsky of New York, Darin and
Rachel Kanfer of Royal Oak, Andy
Kanfer of Illinois; grandchildren,
Isabel, Alex, Madison, Madeleine and
Jake Dubrinsky, Zachary Kanfer.
He was the dear husband of the late
Isabel Dubrinsky; loving brother of the
late Jason Kanfer; dear brother-in-law
of the late Gerald Wolin.

NORMAN HARWOOD, 81, of
Commerce Township, died Oct. 27, 2007.
An electrical contractor, he was
the owner of Auto City Electric from
1953-2000. He was also a Navy veteran
of World War II; as a gunner's mate
first class and a frogman, he made 10
island landings and was highly deco-
rated, including the Purple Heart. He
was a member of Veterans of Foreign
Wars and was also a longtime member
of Congregation Beth Abraham.
Mr. Harwood is survived by his
wife, Irene Harwood of Commerce
Township: son and daughter-in-
law, Ronald and Shelly Harwood
of Farmington Hills; daughter and
son-in-law, Maureen and Bill Yost of
Ellicott City, Md.; stepchildren, Marla
and Barry Hull, Greg and Jan Lopez,
Andrea and David Callahan and Tod
Lopez; grandchildren, Benjamin
and Brittany Harwood, Raquel
and Samantha Yost, Andrew, Sam
and Emma Hull, Brandon Boland,
Gabriella and Devin Callahan; sister
and brother-in-law, Loretta and Arthur
Lempert; aunts, Beatrice Zerkel and
Dorothy Horowitz.
Mr. Harwood was the beloved hus-
band for 50 years of the late Norma
Harwood; cherished brother and
brother-in-law of the late Geraldine
and the late Tom Irtenkauf.

late Adinya Khanatayev.
