An expert on comparative spiri-
tual pathways will speak about the
search for spiritual meaning 8 p.m.
Thursday, Nov. 8, in Birmingham.
Author Sara Rigler of Jerusalem
will speak at 1578 Lakeside Drive.

event, a project of
the Birmingham-
Bloomfield Chai
Center, is sponsored

talk is titled "How

to Find Spiritual
Meaning — Practical Principles for
Personal Growth':
Rig,ler's latest book, Lights from
Jerusalem, is about the transforma-
tive powers of the Jewish tradition.

Just For Laughs
Joel Chasnoff, a Jewish comedian, will
appear at Adat Shalom Synagogue
7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 29, in a perfor-
mance for teenagers through college
students. General admission is $5 in
advance or $10 at the door. There is
a special teen price of $10, includ-
ing a 6 p.m. kosher dinner, for those
enrolled in a Monday night school
program, a day school, or a Jewish
youth group. Dinner reservations are
required by Friday,
Oct. 25.
The evening is co-
sponsored by Hillel
of Metro Detroit.
