The audience was attentive and
appeared impressed.
"It's a fascinating story they have to
tell," said Robert H. Schwartz, an attor-
ney with Butzel Long in Bloomfield
Hills.
"The first step is informing people
of what's going on," Schwartz, a West
Bloomfield resident, said.
"I think it's a great asset for the
community to have a hospital available
nearby," James Jonas, executive vice
president of REDICO in Southfield,
said.
"People will be impressed that
they are saving the Botsford Inn,"
said Jonas, a resident of Farmington
Hills.
"The larger hospitals have foun-
dations. We want them to know
Botsford has a foundation:' said

William Hartsock, a former mayor
of Farmington and hospital board
member who also represented UBS
Financial in Farmington Hills at the
session.
"This is putting the name in front
of not only the contributor, but also
the financial adviser. There are a lot of
ways to gift that are win-win-win situ-
ations," Hartsock said.
"I think it went wonderfully;' said
Stern, a registered principal with
Franklin Financial Investments in
Southfield, who is a past president of
Temple Israel and a financial colum-
nist for the Jewish News. "These were
all my guests, people that I've worked
with over 40 years.
"All they hear about is the
Beaumonts and the Fords:' Stern said.
"I wanted them to know what I know
about Botsford."
