A Holocaust Hero from page 10

"Bip Remembers" is the only performance in his vast repertoire that consciously
draws on his childhood experiences.
"As time goes on, my art deepens;' he said five years ago in a JTA interview."I
know I will die some day, but until then, I will continue to work with all my power.
"What counts for me now is humanity'," he says. "We must have peace — even
with Islam — or we will be destroyed!'
"We shall never, never destroy evil, unfortunately, but good exists also and has to
reach maturity;' he used to say.
