DR. HERSCHEL L. SCHLUSSEL, 70, of
Southfield, died Sept. 13, 2007.
He is survived by his wife, Toby
Schlussel; son, Irvin Schlussel of New
York; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie
Schlussel of Southfield, Susan and Jeffrey
Meyers of New Rochelle, N.Y., Judith and
Matthew Goldsmith of Engelwood, N.J.;
brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Rose
Lynn Schlussel of Southfield; grandchil-
dren, Elliot Meyers, Marilyn Meyers, Joseph
Meyers, Isabelle Meyers, Bella Goldsmith,
William Goldsmith, Molly Goldsmith.
Contributions may be made to the Dr.
Herschel and Toby Schlussel Scholarship
Fund at Stern College for Women, Yeshiva
University; Job Katif, the Central Fund
of Israel; Yeshivat Har Etzion, Etzion
Foundation; Yeshivah Sha'Alvim, Friends

one's choice. Interment at Beth Abraham
Cemetery in Ferndale. Arrangements by

SHELDON IAN SHACKET, 57, of
Highland Twp., died Sept. 3, 2007. He was
a builder and developer.
Mr. Shacket is survived by his beloved
mother, Geraldine Shacket of Bloomfield
Hills; brothers and sister-in-law, Bob and
Jayne Shacket of Commerce, Dr. Rick
Shacket of La Jolla, Calif.; nieces and
nephews, Randy Shacket, Angela Shacket,
Heather Shacket, Kara Shacket, Cory
Shacket and Alison Shacket. He was the
dear son of the late Al Shacket; brother of
the late Julie Rochelle Shacket.
Interment at the Adat Shalom Memorial
Park. Contributions may be made to the
Gerry and Al A. Shacket Philanthropic
Fund at the Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit. Arrangements by
Dorfman Chapel.
Mr. Sharon is survived by sons and
daughters-in-law, Dr. Stuart and Elayne
Sharon of West Bloomfield, Marvin and
Marge Sharon of Bloomfield Township;
grandchildren, Danielle, Zachary,
Elizabeth and Alexis Sharon; sister, Sylvia
Bruch of Columbus, Ohio; loving compan-
ion, Bea Michaels of Sarastoa, Fla.
He was the beloved husband of the late
Etta Sharon and the late Golda Sharon.
Interment at B'nai Moshe section of
Oakview Cemetery. Contributions may
be made to a charity of one's choice.

NATHAN SHARON, 91, of Sarasota, Fla.,
formerly of Detroit, died Sept. 14, 2007.
He was a manufacturers representa-
tive for juvenile furniture. He received his
degree from Wayne State University and
was an Air Force veteran of both World
War II and the Korean War. In addition he
had served as a president of Congregation
B'nai Moshe in West Bloomfield. He moved
to Sarasota in 1972 and was also a past
president of Temple Beth Israel there. An
active board member of many civic and
religious organizations, he was also a long-
time member of the Sarasota Bay Club.
ERNA STAUB, 92, of West
Bloomfield, died Sept. 11,
2007. She was loved and
respected by her friends and
the whole Jewish community.
She is survived by her

daughter and son-in-law,
Julie and Kalvin Engelberg
of Farmington Hills; grand-
children, Anthony (Tony) Engelberg and
fiancee, Ashley Cohn. Mrs. Staub was the
beloved wife of the late Leslie Staub; dear
sister of the late Miklos Gottdiener, the late
Margaret Gottdiener.

Daniel and Karyn Wartel of Southfield;
sisters and brothers-in-law, Theresa and
Matthew Garfinkel of Orlando, Fla., Sarah
and Jerome Peters of Columbia, Mo.;
grandchildren, Shelley Hirshberg, Max
Wartel, Elyse Wartel, Laura Wartel.
