As Genger moves forward with a
unique approach to sculpture, she
thinks ahead to styles she would like
to try. She currently is mulling over
possibilities with video.
"My goals as an artist are to be as
honest as possible, make as much as I
can and say as much as I can through
my work:' says Genger, who will join
CCS students to install a large-scale
piece to be on view through the end
of October on campus. "I believe in a
good work ethic and working through
things through work.
"When I'm in Michigan, I'll get a

lot done — more than I have any-
where else. I've never been to Detroit
before, and it will be great to see it
this way."

Posedown will be on view Sept.

Ferndale. The opening recep-
tion runs 5-8 p.m. Friday,
