Slinky dresses and sky-high heels were the fashion statements
of choice for a mid-summer bash at Tam O'Shanter Country
Club in West Bloomfield. Among the amenities: entertain-
ment provided by Party Layne, including a bongo player, plus
a mojito bar, hors d'oeuvres, food stations and dancing into the
night's wee hours. "The event was called 'Splash' — but nobody
got pushed into the pool this year," says Marla Spaulding of
ROBIN SCHWARTZ,
Commerce Township, the club's food and beverage manager.
COLUMNIST
More than 150 club members and their invited guests attended the
posh annual party by the pool July 21. Adds Spaulding, "It's definitely the night to
see and be seen." ❑
