Sharing in his simchah will be grand-
parents Erno Friedman, Florence Mars
and Eleanor Sol. Ethan is also the
grandson of the late Pearl Friedman
and the late Jack Sol.
Ethan is an eighth-grader at Hillel
Day School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills. One of his mitzvah
projects included donating his hair to
Locks of Love.
David Matthew

his bar mitzvah,

Temple Israel. He is

grandmothers are Inez Cane and
Bonney King. He is also the grandchild
of the late Irving S. Cane and the late
Arthur N. King.
David is a student at Detroit Country
Day School in Beverly Hills. He felt
volunteering at the Relay for Life was a
very meaningful mitzvah project.

as a bat mitzvah on

Herndon. Sharing
Linovitz
in the simchah were
her parents, Rhonda
and Marc Linovitz, and her brother
Brian. Proud grandparents are Shelia
and Michael Levine of Oak Park. Julie
is also the granddaughter of the late
Max Linovitz and the late Inez Tolan
Linovitz.
Julie attends Rachel Carson Middle
School in Herndon. Her mitzvah proj-
ect involved taking care of a neighbor
with cancer and her handicapped cats.

of Debra Lipson

Lipson. His brothers
are Mark and Kevin and his grandpar-
ents are Sylvia and Sam Deutsch and
Honora Lipson. He is also the grand-
child of the late Alex Lipson.
Brian attends Orchard Lake Middle
School in West Bloomfield. Among
his mitzvah projects, he felt that rais-
ing funds for surgical research at
Children's Hospital of Michigan was
the most meaningful.

Birmingham Temple on Saturday,
Sept. 8. They are the daughters of
Margie and Jeff Loeb and grand-
daughters of Shirley and Burt Harris
of Swampscott, Mass., and Loretta and
Felix Loeb of Portland, Ore.
The girls are Birmingham Covington
School eighth-graders. Corey's mitz-
vah project includes collecting new
and gently used books for the Detroit
Public Schools. Hannah helped at
an event sponsored by the Center
for Peace and Conflict Resolution at
Wayne State University in Detroit.
