r. Susan Kovsky and Mr. Simeon
Wallis were recently married at
the Dearborn Inn. Rabbi Reuven
Spolter of Young Israel of Oak Park offici-
ated.
The bride is the daughter of Anne and
David Berris of West Bloomfield and Judy
and Charles Kovsky of Livonia. The groom
is the son of Pauline and Matthew Wallis of
East Hampton, N.Y.
Simeon is a research analyst with Evercore
Asset Management, an investment firm in
Manhattan. Susan is completing a fellow-
ship in rheumatology at the University of
Michigan Hospital, Ann Arbor.
Brandon Wallis, brother of the groom, was best man. Deborah Kovsky-Apap,
sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. Nieces of the bride, Elisheva and
Dalya Apap and Tamar and Dafna Erlbaum, were the flower girls. Also partici-
pating in the ceremony were Eve and David Kovsky, sister-in-law and brother of
the bride, and Marci Kovsky, sister of the bride.
The couple were especially honored to have grandparents Philip Kovsky and
Sarah Cwagenberg included in the ceremony.
The new couple will honeymoon in South Africa.

Oppenheim recently celebrated
their 65th wedding anniversary
at their daughter's home in Riverside, Calif.
Last December, they relocated to Riverside
from West Bloomfield, and were surprised
and honored when their son and daughter-
in-law, Dr. Gary and Sharon Oppenheim,
and daughter, Patti Podnar, flew out from
Michigan to join daughter and son-in-law,
Regina "Reggie" and Iry Richards in arrang-
ing a brunch on June 24. Their grandson,
Eli Richards of northern California, many
now-West Coast friends, formerly of Detroit area, as well as their new Riverside
friends, joined them in the surprise celebration.
