Card Contest Winners

Berkley-based Yad Ezra sponsored its
annual Greeting Card Contest for children
ages 5-15. Winning entries this year were
submitted by Michaela Fishman, Danielle
Kramer, Sarah Richard, Randee Shapiro,
Shera Shevin and Hannah Stryk.
The cards have been reprinted and are
available in assorted packages of 12 for
$50. The designs depict symbols of the
High holidays.
Orders must be received by Sept. 7.

Hillel Golf Classic

The annual Hillel Day School Golf Classic
will be held Monday, Sept. 17, at Franklin
Hills Country Club.
The nine-hole tournament will begin
with registration and continental break-
fast at 8:45 a.m. and a 9:30 a.m. shotgun
start. Registration for the 18-hole event
will begin at 11:30 a.m. with a 1 p.m.
shotgun start. Lunch and dinner are
included for all participants.
Cost for the nine-hole event is $180;
$300 for the 18-hole tournament; dinner
only, $50. Sponsorship opportunities are
available.

Congregation Shaarey Zedek of
Oakland County will hold a "Time of
Remembrance" service 2 p.m. Sunday,
Sept. 9, in the chapel at Clover Hill
Park Cemetery 2425 E. 14 Mile Road,
Birmingham.
Rabbi Joseph Krakoff, Rabbi Eric
Yanoff, Cantor Meir Finkelstein and
Assistant Cantor Leonard Gutman will
conduct a brief memorial service.
Immediately following, families and
friends will proceed to the gravesites of
their departed for a special prayer, as well
as the placement of a stone on the grave.
Individual prayer booklets will be avail-
able.
